Author's Purpose

Introduction:

Welcome to our first week exploring Author's Purpose! Every time an author writes, they have a specific goal in mind. This week, we'll discover the PIE+E model (Persuade, Inform, Entertain, and Explain) and learn to identify the reasons behind different texts. Understanding author's purpose is like having a special key that unlocks deeper meaning in everything you read, from textbooks to social media posts. By recognizing an author's intentions, you'll become a more critical reader and a more effective writer!
